How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any trim or control panels.
Steps to check:
- Reset the control: Turn the unit off at the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power. Observe if E02 reappears.
- Inspect UI connections: Remove the front control panel/trim to access the user interface board. Check the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and the main control board. Reseat both ends.
- Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water intrusion around the display area. Dry gently with a soft cloth and allow the area to air dry before reassembly.
- Visual inspection: Examine the UI board for burnt components or corrosion. If present, replacement is required.
Note: If wiring is intact and E02 persists, either the UI board or main control board is defective. Diagnosis often requires Thermador service diagnostics and should be done by a professional.
