Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main control board, Shorted thermistor reading too warm, Damper stuck open, Incorrect temperature setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Avoid storing liquids in glass containers near the back wall to prevent breakage from freezing.
Steps:
- Check settings: Verify the refrigerator temperature is not set too cold. Adjust to 37°F (3°C) and wait 24 hours.
- Inspect damper: On models with an air damper between freezer and fridge, listen for it opening/closing. If stuck open, cold freezer air will overcool the fridge.
- Test thermistor: Measure refrigerator thermistor resistance and compare to spec. Replace if out of range.
- If the damper and thermistor are good but LO persists, the main control board may be misreading temperature and should be replaced.
