Possible Causes
Recent power outage, Loose power cord connection, Tripped circuit breaker, Faulty outlet or power strip
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Do not open doors unnecessarily if temperatures are still recovering.
Steps:
- Acknowledge the alert: Press and hold the appropriate button combination (see user manual) to clear the PO code.
- Check power source: Ensure the power cord is fully inserted into a dedicated wall outlet (no extension cords). Reset the circuit breaker if tripped.
- Monitor temperatures: Allow 24 hours for temperatures to stabilize. Use a thermometer to verify freezer near 0°F (-18°C) and refrigerator near 37°F (3°C).
- If PO recurs without actual outages, inspect the outlet for loose wiring or have an electrician test the circuit. Persistent false PO alerts may indicate a failing main control board.
