Possible Causes
Mower high-centered on obstacle, Wheels spinning in holes or soft ground, Excessive grass buildup around wheels, Internal gearbox jam
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off main power before freeing a stuck mower.
- Free the mower: Lift the mower off the obstacle, hole, or soft patch, and place it on firm, level ground.
- Inspect underbody: Check for branches, rocks, or roots caught under the chassis or between wheels and body. Remove all obstructions.
- Clean wheel treads: Remove packed mud or grass from the drive wheel treads to restore traction.
- Check for gearbox damage: Rotate each wheel by hand. If one wheel is locked or very rough, the corresponding Drive Motor Gearbox may be damaged and require replacement.
- Adjust boundary and work area: Modify the boundary wire to exclude areas where the mower frequently gets stuck (deep holes, exposed roots, steep transitions).
