Possible Causes
Left or right wheel jammed with debris, Wheel height adjustment spring stuck, Drive wheel motor failure, Gearbox damage in wheel module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the main power switch (if equipped) and remove the robot from the dock.
Procedure:
- Flip the robot over and inspect both drive wheels.
- Check for obstructions: Look for hair, carpet fibers, or cords wrapped around the wheel axles or trapped in the wheel wells. Bagotte wheels often have deep treads that can trap fibers.
- Clean the wheel wells: Use tweezers or a small brush to remove debris around the wheel and inside the cavity.
- Test wheel suspension: Press each wheel up and down. It should move freely and spring back. If a wheel is stuck in the up or down position, clean around the suspension and gently work it free.
- Spin the wheels by hand: Rotate each wheel. It should turn smoothly with a light clicking from the gearbox. Grinding, binding, or no movement indicates a failing drive wheel motor module.
- Reboot and test: Power the robot ON, place it on the floor, and start a cleaning cycle. Observe if both wheels drive normally.
- If E3 persists or one wheel does not move: Replace the faulty left or right drive wheel module specific to your Bagotte model. This usually includes the motor, gearbox, and wheel as one assembly.
