Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully seated, Dust bin presence switch stuck, Dust bin micro-switch broken, Dust bin contacts or magnet sensor failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Ensure the robot is OFF before removing the dust bin.
Steps:
- Remove the dust bin: Press the release button and pull the bin straight out.
- Empty and clean: Empty the bin and clean the filter. Check that no debris is blocking the bin’s rear edge or latch.
- Inspect bin sensor area: Look inside the bin cavity for a small switch, lever, or magnetic sensor. Remove any dust buildup with a dry brush.
- Check bin fit: Reinsert the bin firmly until you hear or feel a click. Make sure the bin door is fully closed.
- Test the sensor: With the robot ON, remove and reinsert the bin to see if the E6 message changes. If the robot never detects the bin, the dust bin detection switch may be faulty.
- Try a different bin (if available): If you have a spare Bagotte dust bin, test with it to rule out a warped or damaged bin.
- If E6 remains: Replace the dust bin sensor switch or the main control board if the sensor is integrated.
