Possible Causes
Worn drive wheel treads, Weak wheel springs, Low battery reducing torque, Side brush catching on rugs
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the robot when freeing it from obstacles.
Steps:
- Inspect wheels: Check the drive wheel treads for wear or smooth spots. Replace the drive wheel modules if treads are badly worn.
- Check wheel suspension: Ensure wheels move up and down freely and are not stuck in the raised position.
- Remove problematic obstacles: Tuck away loose cords and use rug grippers or remove very thick rugs from the cleaning area.
- Side brush test: Temporarily remove the side brush and test if the robot still gets stuck on rugs. If improved, replace the side brush with a new one that is less likely to snag.
- Battery health: If the robot slows or stops on carpets, consider replacing an aged battery pack.
