Ecovacs Docking / IR Receiver Alignment Issue

Robot vacuum cannot find or dock with the charging station; it wanders near it or misses repeatedly.

Possible Causes

Dirty IR sensors on robot or dock, dock placed in a tight corner, strong sunlight or reflections near the dock, faulty IR transmitter/receiver.

Safety first: Unplug the dock before cleaning.

Clean IR windows: Wipe the front of the dock and the front/top sensors of the robot with a soft cloth.
Reposition dock: Place the dock against a wall with at least 0.5 m clearance on each side and 1.5 m in front.
Reduce interference: Avoid placing the dock near mirrors, glass doors, or direct sunlight.

If docking issues persist: The dock's IR transmitter or the robot's IR receiver may be faulty and require replacement.
