Possible Causes
Left or right drive wheel jammed with debris, Wheel height adjustment spring clogged, Drive wheel motor failure, Drive wheel encoder sensor dirty or damaged
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock.
- Check wheel movement: Manually rotate both left and right drive wheels. They should move smoothly with some resistance. If one wheel is stuck or very stiff, inspect for debris.
- Clean wheel wells: Remove hair, carpet fibers, and dirt from around the wheels and suspension springs. Use tweezers and a small brush.
- Check for foreign objects: Look for small toys, stones, or screws lodged near the wheel gears.
- Test in place: Turn the robot ON, lift it slightly so wheels are off the ground, and start a cleaning cycle. Observe if both wheels spin. If one wheel does not move or makes grinding noises, the Drive Wheel Motor Assembly on that side is likely faulty.
- Advanced repair: Remove the bottom cover and unscrew the affected wheel module. Disconnect its cable from the main PCB and install a replacement Drive Wheel Module compatible with your Honiture model.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the bottom cover, tighten all screws, and run a test clean on a flat surface.
