Possible Causes
Disposable bag not installed or full, bag collar not seated on the inlet, debris clogging the Clean Base inlet, bag detection switch stuck.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Clean Base before opening it. Dust may be present; consider wearing a mask if sensitive.
Steps to resolve:
- Open Clean Base: Lift the lid to access the bag compartment.
- Check and replace bag: If the bag is full or very heavy, remove and dispose of it. Install a new iRobot-compatible bag, ensuring the cardboard collar is fully seated on the inlet tube.
- Inspect inlet for clogs: Look into the inlet where the bag attaches and remove any visible debris.
- Close lid securely: Ensure the lid latches fully; some models use a lid switch for safety.
When to replace parts: If the error persists with a new bag and clear inlet, the bag detection switch or Clean Base electronics may be faulty and require service.
