Possible Causes
Worn main brush bristles, Missing or worn side brush, Side brush not spinning, Incorrect brush installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before handling brushes.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect main brush: Remove the brush and check bristle length and condition. If bristles are flattened or missing, replace the brush roll.
- 2. Check side brush: Ensure the side brush is installed, not broken, and spins freely. Replace it if bristles are bent or missing.
- 3. Clean brush housing: Remove dust buildup from the brush housing and edge channels to improve airflow and pickup.
- 4. Verify installation: Reinstall brushes securely, ensuring they are seated correctly and the guard is latched.
When to call a technician: If brushes are in good condition but still do not spin or clean properly, the brush motor or side brush motor may be failing and require service.
