Possible Causes
Worn main brush bearings, Debris in the fan housing, Loose screws on the bottom plate, Damaged side brush
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and flip it over.
- Inspect main brush: Remove the main brush and check its end bearings for wear or grinding. Clean thoroughly and replace the brush if the ends are worn.
- Tighten screws: Check all visible screws on the bottom plate and brush guard, and gently tighten them.
- Check side brush: Remove the side brush and run the robot briefly. If the noise decreases, replace the side brush.
- Fan noise: If the noise originates from inside the body and changes with the suction level, the suction fan motor may have debris or bearing wear. Continued loud grinding indicates that the fan module should be replaced.
