Possible Causes
Water tank not fully inserted, tank magnet or detection tab misaligned, tank empty or air-locked, water tank sensor switch faulty.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove the water tank.
- 1. Refill tank: Fill the water tank with clean water up to the indicated level. Do not add harsh chemicals.
- 2. Check tank seals: Inspect the rubber plugs and seals for damage or mis-seating that could prevent proper pressure or detection.
- 3. Inspect detection area: Look for a magnet or plastic tab on the tank that aligns with a sensor on the robot. Ensure it is intact and clean.
- 4. Reinsert tank firmly: Slide the tank back into the robot until it clicks. Confirm it is flush with the body.
- 5. Test mopping mode: Start a mopping cycle on a hard floor and check if water is being dispensed to the mop pad.
- 6. Replace tank or sensor: If E18 persists and the robot does not recognize the tank, replace the water tank assembly or the tank detection switch/sensor.
Warning: Do not overfill the tank or use boiling water; excessive heat can warp the plastic and damage seals.
