Thermostat displays E270 indicating internal display or touch interface fault; screen may be blank, frozen, or unresponsive.

Safety warning: Turn off power to the thermostat before removing it from the wall. Do not attempt board-level repairs unless qualified.

• 1. Check for backlight and response:
  • Observe if any backlight or faint image appears when touching the screen.
• 2. Remove and reseat thermostat:
  • Pull the thermostat off the wall base and inspect the connector pins.
  • Reinstall firmly and see if the display recovers.
• 3. Try a soft reset:
  • If any buttons or reset holes are accessible, perform a soft reset per Lennox instructions.
• 4. Replace thermostat if display remains failed:
  • The display/touch module is not typically field-repairable.
  • Replace with a new Lennox smart thermostat.
