Possible Causes
Open circuit in ATS control wiring, Incorrect ATS configuration, Failed ATS start relay, Loose terminal screws at control strip
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the mains and generator before opening the ATS or control panel.
- Simulate mains failure: With supervision, open the main breaker to simulate a power cut and observe if the ATS sends a start signal (indicator lights, relay click).
- Check control terminals: Tighten all low‑voltage control terminal screws at both the ATS and the Einhell generator controller.
- Continuity test: Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the remote start pair between the ATS and the generator.
- Replace ATS start relay: If the relay coil is not energizing or the contacts are burnt, replace it with the correct type.
If wiring and ATS components are good, the generator controller input may be faulty and require service.
