Possible Causes
Fuel transfer pump failure, blocked transfer line or filter, faulty day tank level switch, or incorrect transfer pump control wiring.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Stop the generator and isolate the electrical supply to the transfer pump before working on the fuel system.
- Check day tank level: Visually inspect the Himoinsa day tank gauge. If low, verify that the main tank has fuel.
- Test transfer pump: Manually command the transfer pump ON (via the controller or a manual switch). Listen for operation and check for fuel flow. If silent, check the pump fuse and power supply.
- Inspect transfer lines: Look for kinks, blockages, or closed valves in the transfer line. Replace clogged filters.
- Check level switch: Test the day tank low-level switch with a multimeter. Replace if it does not change state with the fuel level.
- Run test: After restoring transfer, clear E22 and run the generator while monitoring the day tank level to ensure proper operation.
