Possible Causes

Blown controller fuse, no DC supply to controller, failed display module, loose ribbon cable or connector.

Safety first: Turn the generator OFF, open the main breaker, and disconnect the battery negative before opening the control panel.

Check fuses: Locate and test the low-voltage fuses feeding the controller. Replace blown fuses with identical ratings.
Measure DC supply: Verify that 12 V DC is present at the controller power input terminals.
Inspect connectors: Reseat the display ribbon cable and other multi-pin connectors on the controller board.

If the display remains blank with proper power, the controller or display module may need replacement by a Kohler service provider.
