Possible Causes
Water leak into the base tray, stuck float switch, cracked tub or hose, loose pump or inlet hose connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply.
Check for leaks:
- Remove plinth: Remove the lower front kick panel or side panel (model dependent) to access the base tray.
- Inspect base: If water is present in the base, carefully sponge it out and dry the area completely.
- Float switch: Locate the float and microswitch. Ensure the float moves freely and is not stuck in the 'up' position.
- Find source of leak: Run a short fill cycle while observing with the panels removed. Check the inlet hose, tub-to-pump hose, pump seals, and door gasket for drips.
Repair leak: Tighten clamps, replace cracked hoses, or replace the door gasket as needed. Once the leak is fixed and the base is dry, F23 should clear after a power reset.
