Possible Causes
Defective door lock mechanism, Broken or misaligned door latch hook, Faulty door lock wiring harness, Failed control module door lock relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Bosch washer-dryer combo from the mains and turn off the water supply before any disassembly.
- 1. Check door closure: Open and firmly close the door. Make sure no clothing is trapped between the door seal and the door glass. The door must click positively.
- 2. Inspect door latch hook: Examine the metal or plastic latch on the door for bending, cracks, or looseness. If damaged, the door lock will not engage and the latch assembly should be replaced.
- 3. Test door lock operation: With the unit unplugged, remove the front retaining band of the door boot (gasket) and gently pull back the gasket to access the door lock assembly. Check the wiring connector for corrosion or loose pins and reseat it firmly.
- 4. Electrical test (for advanced users): Using a multimeter, test continuity across the door lock terminals while manually engaging the lock. If the lock coil is open or does not change state, replace the door lock assembly.
- 5. Reset the machine: After reassembly, plug the unit back in, close the door firmly, and try a short cycle. If E01 persists after confirming the latch and wiring, the main control module may be faulty and professional diagnosis is recommended.
