Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or air trap, Clogged pressure hose, Faulty water level pressure sensor, Stuck water inlet valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and turn off water supply before opening the cabinet.
- 1. Observe water level: If the drum is visibly overfilled, manually drain via the pump filter before proceeding.
- 2. Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover, locate the small rubber or plastic hose running from the drum/air trap to the pressure sensor. Check for kinks, cracks, or blockages. Blow gently through the hose to clear soap residue.
- 3. Clean air trap/pressure chamber: At the side or bottom of the tub, remove the air trap and rinse out sludge and detergent buildup that can block air flow.
- 4. Check inlet valve: With the machine unplugged, inspect the water inlet valve for signs of sticking or internal leakage (water entering even when off). If water continues to flow with power disconnected, the valve must be replaced.
- 5. Replace pressure sensor if needed: If hoses and air trap are clear but E04 persists, the pressure sensor may be faulty. Disconnect the wiring plug, remove the sensor, and install a new Bosch-compatible pressure switch.
- 6. Professional help: If the control board is misreading the sensor or driving the valve incorrectly, a technician should test and possibly replace the main PCB.
