Possible Causes

Excessively unbalanced load, Faulty motor tachometer sensor, Worn suspension dampers, Defective spin control on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the appliance is unplugged before any internal inspection.

  • 1. Redistribute load: Open the door and check if heavy items (e.g., towels, blankets) are bunched on one side. Redistribute or remove some items and run a spin-only cycle.
  • 2. Check machine leveling: Verify that the washer-dryer is level front-to-back and side-to-side using a spirit level. Adjust the feet to eliminate rocking.
  • 3. Inspect suspension: Remove the top cover and gently press down on the drum. It should move smoothly and rebound without excessive bouncing. If the tub oscillates heavily, the shock absorbers/dampers may be worn and should be replaced.
  • 4. Motor feedback: If the machine repeatedly aborts spin even with balanced loads, the tachometer sensor or motor control may be faulty. Inspect the motor and tachometer wiring as in E07.
  • 5. If E08 persists: A Bosch technician should test the control module and replace it if the spin control circuitry is defective.
