Possible Causes
Faulty dryer NTC sensor, Loose NTC wiring, Shorted NTC harness, Control board sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any panels.
- 1. Confirm symptom: Start a drying program and observe if the drum turns but no heat is produced, or if the cycle ends within a few minutes.
- 2. Locate dryer NTC: On Bosch washer-dryer combos, the dryer NTC is typically mounted in the air duct or near the dryer heater housing. Remove the top or rear panel to access it.
- 3. Inspect wiring: Check the NTC connector and harness for loose plugs, corrosion, or damage. Reseat the connector firmly.
- 4. Test NTC resistance: Measure resistance at room temperature; typical values are in the kilo-ohm range and should change smoothly with temperature. An open or shorted NTC must be replaced.
- 5. Replace NTC sensor: Remove the retaining screw or clip, swap in a new Bosch dryer NTC sensor, and reassemble.
- 6. If E10 persists: The control board's sensor input circuit may be defective and should be evaluated by a professional.
