Washer-dryer does not start cycle; display is on but Start button unresponsive

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel.

• 1. Check child lock: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. To deactivate, press and hold the designated buttons (often two specific buttons) for 3–5 seconds as per the user manual.
• 2. Power reset: Turn the selector to Off, unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
• 3. Inspect control panel: Remove the control fascia and check the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and main board. Reseat connectors.
• 4. Button test: If some buttons work and others do not, the UI PCB or membrane may be faulty and should be replaced.
