Possible Causes
A partially blocked drain pump or hose, repeatedly detected unbalanced load, worn motor brushes reducing torque, or faulty spin speed selection on the control panel.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before accessing the pump or motor.
- Step 1 – Check load: Remove heavy single items and redistribute the laundry. Run a spin-only cycle with a smaller, balanced load.
- Step 2 – Verify drainage: If water remains in the drum, clean the drain pump filter and check the drain hose for blockages, as described in the E03 procedure.
- Step 3 – Spin program: Ensure a spin speed is selected and that the chosen program includes a spin phase.
- Step 4 – Motor brushes (if applicable): If the drum turns weakly or not at all during the spin cycle, inspect and replace worn motor brushes with Caple-compatible parts.
- Step 5 – Suspension check: Excessive vibration can cause the control to abort the spin cycle. Inspect shock absorbers and springs, and replace them if worn.
