Possible Causes
Reversed hot and cold water hoses, restricted hot or cold supply, failed inlet valve temperature sensing, control misreading inlet temps
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water supply and unplug the washer before disconnecting hoses.
- Verify hose connections: Confirm the hot hose is connected to the hot faucet and the hot inlet on the washer (usually marked red or "H"), and cold to cold.
- Check water flow:
- Turn off faucets, remove hoses from the back of the washer.
- Place hoses in a bucket and briefly open faucets to confirm strong flow from both hot and cold.
- Clean inlet screens on the washer's water valves of any sediment.
- Run a test cycle: Reconnect hoses, turn on water, and run a warm wash. If F3E3 returns, continue.
- Inspect inlet valve assembly: Access the rear/top of the washer and check the hot/cold inlet valve wiring and connectors. Reseat connectors.
- Replace inlet valve assembly if needed: If one side is not opening or the valve's internal sensor is faulty, replace the complete Amana inlet valve assembly.
