Washer does not fill or fills very slowly; F8E1 (long fill) is displayed.

Safety: Turn off water supply and unplug the washer before disconnecting hoses.

• Check faucets: Ensure both hot and cold faucets are fully open.
• Inspect hoses: Look for kinks or sharp bends in the inlet hoses. Straighten or replace as needed.
• Clean inlet screens:
  • Turn off water and remove hoses from the back of the washer.
  • Use needle-nose pliers to gently remove and clean the small metal screens inside the valve inlets.
  • Rinse away sediment and reinstall.
• Test water flow: Briefly open each faucet with the hose end in a bucket to confirm strong flow.
• Replace inlet valve if needed: If water supply is good but the washer still fills slowly or not at all, replace the Amana water inlet valve assembly.
