Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Immediate safety: If water is overflowing, unplug the washer and turn off both water supply valves immediately to prevent flooding.
- Check inlet valves: With the washer unplugged and water supply turned on briefly, see if water continues to flow into the tub. If it does, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
- Inspect pressure hose and sensor:
- Remove the top panel.
- Verify the pressure hose is securely attached to both the tub/air dome and the pressure sensor.
- Check for kinks, cracks, or blockages; clear or replace as needed.
- Test pressure sensor: If the hose is intact, test or replace the water level pressure sensor as described for F3E1.
- Replace inlet valve assembly: If the valve leaks water when de-energized, install a new Amana inlet valve assembly.
If mechanical parts are good but the washer continues to overfill, the main control board may be faulty and should be evaluated by a technician.
