Washer will not drain or drains very slowly; F9E1 (long drain) is displayed and cycle may stop with water in the tub.

Safety: Unplug the washer before accessing the pump. Water may spill when hoses are removed; have towels and a shallow pan ready.

• Check drain hose:
  • Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or crushed behind the washer.
  • Verify the hose is not inserted too far into the standpipe (should be about 4–6 inches).
• Clean pump filter (if accessible):
  • Remove the lower front access panel.
  • Locate the drain pump clean-out cap.
  • Place a pan under the pump and slowly unscrew the cap to drain water.
  • Remove lint, coins, and debris from the filter and impeller area.
• Inspect pump impeller: Ensure the impeller spins freely and is not broken. If damaged, replace the pump.
• Test pump operation: After reassembly, run a drain & spin. If the pump hums but does not move water, or is silent, replace the drain pump.
