Top-load washer lid will not unlock at end of cycle; display shows "LdU".

Safety: Unplug the washer before attempting manual lid release.

• Wait and reset: Allow several minutes after cycle end, then unplug for 5 minutes and plug back in to see if the lid unlocks.
• Manual release: Access the lid lock from under the top panel and use the manual release tab or lever (if provided) to open the lid.
• Inspect lock and lid: Check for physical damage, misalignment, or warping that could bind the lock.
• Replace lid lock assembly: If the lock repeatedly fails to release, install a new Amana lid lock assembly.
