Possible Causes

Blocked or detached pressure switch hose, Defective water level pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Faulty main control board water level circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and close the water taps. If the washer is overfilling, turn off the water supply immediately.

  • Step 1 – Inspect the pressure hose:
    • Remove the top cover of the washer.
    • Locate the round pressure switch (usually near a side wall) with a thin rubber hose going down to the tub.
    • Check that the hose is firmly attached at both ends and not cracked or kinked.
    • Remove the hose from the switch and blow gently through it toward the tub to clear any soap residue or lint.
  • Step 2 – Check the pressure switch:
    • With the hose reattached, inspect the switch for signs of burning or water ingress.
    • If you hear no clicks when gently blowing into the switch (disconnected from the tub), it may be faulty and should be replaced.
  • Step 3 – Inspect the inlet valve:
    • With the washer unplugged, disconnect the inlet hoses and remove the top or rear panel to access the valve.
    • If water continues to flow into the drum when the machine is unplugged and taps are open, the valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
  • Step 4 – Test operation:
    • Reassemble, restore power and water, and run a short cycle.
    • If E04 reappears, the pressure switch or control board may require professional testing and replacement.
