Possible Causes
Open circuit motor windings, Broken or slipped drive belt, Faulty motor triac or relay on PCB, Damaged motor wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing panels or touching the motor and belt.
- Step 1 – Check the drive belt:
- Remove the rear panel.
- Inspect the belt between the motor pulley and drum pulley.
- If the belt is off, frayed, or broken, replace it with the correct Arctic belt and ensure it is properly seated on both pulleys.
- Step 2 – Try to rotate the drum by hand:
- Spin the drum from the front; it should rotate smoothly.
- If it is seized or very stiff, there may be a bearing or foreign object issue rather than a motor fault.
- Step 3 – Inspect motor and wiring:
- Check the motor connector and cable for damage or burning.
- Ensure the connector is fully seated on the motor.
- Step 4 – Electrical tests (advanced):
- With the motor removed, measure resistance of the windings according to the wiring diagram.
- Open circuit or shorted windings indicate a failed motor.
- Step 5 – Reassemble and test:
- Reinstall the motor and belt, reattach the rear panel, and run a short cycle.
- If E07 persists with a good motor and belt, the main control board motor drive circuit is likely faulty and requires professional service.
