How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer. Prepare towels and a tray for water spillage.
- Step 1 – Clean pump filter thoroughly:
- Open the lower service flap.
- Drain water slowly and remove the filter.
- Clean all debris and check deep inside the pump housing.
- Step 2 – Check drain hose installation:
- Ensure the drain hose is not inserted too far into the standpipe (should form an air gap).
- Verify the hose height is within Arctic's specified range (usually 60–100 cm from floor).
- Step 3 – Test pump performance:
- With the filter reinstalled, run a drain-only program.
- If the pump is noisy or very weak, replace the drain pump.
- If E18 continues after these steps, there may be an internal hose blockage or control issue; professional inspection is recommended.
