Possible Causes
Transit bolts not removed, Washer not level, Soft or uneven flooring, Worn shock absorbers or springs
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before adjusting feet or inspecting underneath.
- Step 1 – Check transit bolts:
- Ensure all shipping bolts at the rear of the washer have been removed according to the installation manual.
- Step 2 – Level the machine:
- Use a spirit level on top of the washer.
- Adjust the front and rear feet until the machine is stable and level.
- Tighten lock nuts on the feet.
- Step 3 – Improve floor stability:
- Place the washer on a solid, non-flexing surface.
- Use anti-vibration pads if the floor is slippery or uneven.
- Step 4 – Inspect suspension (if problem persists):
- Check shock absorbers and springs for wear as described in the banging noise scenario.
- Test with a balanced load to confirm reduced vibration.
