Possible Causes

Severely unbalanced laundry load, worn suspension shock absorbers, broken drum springs, faulty motor speed sensing.

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer before internal inspection.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Redistribute the load: Open the door (once unlocked) and rearrange the laundry evenly around the drum. Remove heavy items if necessary and retry the spin.
  • Check the suspension: Remove the top cover and gently push down on the drum. It should move smoothly and return without excessive bouncing. Inspect the shock absorbers and springs for leaks, breaks, or detachment.
  • Replace worn parts: If the shocks are weak or leaking oil, replace them in pairs.

If the mechanical suspension is sound but E18 persists, the motor speed sensing (tachometer) should be checked as per E06.
