Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, residual detergent and softener in the tub, door kept closed between cycles, blocked drain causing stagnant water.
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before cleaning internal parts.
- Run hot cleaning cycle: Run an empty 90°C cycle with a Bosch-approved washing machine cleaner or white vinegar (if allowed by the manual).
- Clean gasket: Wipe the door seal folds with a cloth soaked in mild detergent or diluted bleach. Remove visible mold and residue.
- Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away buildup. Clean the housing and dispenser jets.
- Leave door open: After each wash, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying and prevent mold growth.
