Washer will not start the cycle; lights are on, but the Start button does nothing.

Safety first: Unplug the washer before removing the control panel.

• Check child lock: If a key or lock symbol is lit, disable the child lock by holding the designated buttons (refer to the Bosch manual, often pressing and holding two buttons for 3–5 seconds).
• Confirm door closure: Close the door firmly until you hear a click. Ensure no laundry is trapped.
• Try another program: Select a different cycle and press Start to rule out a program-specific issue.
• Inspect control panel: If buttons are unresponsive, the user interface PCB or membrane may be faulty and require replacement.
