Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or hose, Faulty pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Control board sensing error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close water taps.
- Check for overfilling: If the drum is visibly overfull, manually drain via the pump filter before proceeding.
- Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the pressure switch (usually round with multiple wires and a thin hose). Remove the hose and blow gently through it toward the tub to clear soap residue. Refit securely.
- Clean pressure chamber: At the tub end, ensure the air chamber where the hose connects is not blocked with sludge. Clean if accessible.
- Test inlet valve: If water continues to enter even when the machine is unplugged, the inlet valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced.
- Check pressure switch: With a multimeter, test continuity changes on the switch terminals while gently blowing into the pressure port. If no change, replace the pressure switch with a Candy-compatible part.
If all components test correctly but E04 persists, the main PCB may be misreading the level signal and should be checked by a technician.
