Possible Causes

Overloaded drum, Worn motor brushes (brushed motor), Faulty motor triac on PCB, High friction in drum bearings

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance before internal checks.

  • Reduce load: Remove some laundry and try a spin-only cycle. Candy machines can display E08 if the load is too heavy or unbalanced.
  • Check drum movement: Spin the drum by hand. If it feels stiff, grinds, or is noisy, the bearings may be failing and causing overload.
  • Inspect motor brushes: If fitted, remove and inspect carbon brushes. Replace if worn short.
  • Visual PCB check: If accessible, inspect the main PCB for burnt tracks or components near the motor drive section. Do not attempt component-level repair unless qualified.

Persistent E08 with normal loads usually indicates a motor or PCB issue that should be handled by a technician.
