Failed dryer heating element, Blocked condenser or air duct, Faulty dryer fan motor, Defective NTC sensor in dryer circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool fully before working on the dryer section.
- Clean lint and ducts: Remove the top cover and rear panel as needed. Inspect and clean the air ducts and condenser area of lint and fluff.
- Check dryer fan: Spin the dryer fan by hand to ensure it moves freely. If seized or noisy, replace the fan motor.
- Test dryer heater: Locate the dryer heating element and measure its resistance. Replace if open circuit.
- Inspect dryer NTC: Test the dryer temperature sensor for appropriate resistance at room temperature and change with temperature. Replace if faulty.
Dryer circuit faults can be complex; if E12 persists after cleaning and basic checks, consult a technician.
