Possible Causes
Loose wiring harness to control panel, Faulty user interface board, Main PCB failure, Voltage spike or power surge
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the washer before removing any panels.
- Power reset: Leave the machine unplugged for 10–15 minutes to allow capacitors to discharge, then reconnect and try again.
- Check control panel connections: Remove the top cover and control panel fascia. Ensure the ribbon cable and connectors between the display board and main PCB are firmly seated.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for signs of water ingress around the control panel. Dry gently and address any leaks from the detergent drawer or top seal.
If E16 persists, one of the control boards is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
