Washer hums but does not fill with water at the start of the cycle.

Safety: Turn off water and unplug before removing hoses.

• Check tap: Ensure the water tap is fully open.
• Inspect hose: Straighten any kinks and ensure the hose is not crushed behind the machine.
• Clean filters: Remove the hose from the machine and clean the mesh filters in the valve.
• Test valve: If humming persists with good supply and clean filters, the valve coil may be weak and should be replaced.
