Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water tap before disconnecting hoses.

Step-by-step checks:

• Verify water supply: Ensure the wall tap is fully open. Disconnect the inlet hose from the back of the washer and run it into a bucket to confirm strong water flow from the tap.
• Clean inlet filters: At the machine end of the hose and inside the inlet valve on the CDA washer there are small mesh filters. Gently pull them out with pliers, rinse under running water, and remove any limescale or debris.
• Inspect the inlet valve: Remove the top cover (usually 2–3 screws at the back) to access the water inlet valve. Check for cracks, leaks, or burnt connectors. Reseat the wiring plug.
• Test the valve coil: With a multimeter, measure resistance across each solenoid coil. An open circuit or very high resistance indicates a failed valve. Replace the valve assembly if faulty.
• Check pressure switch and hose: Locate the small plastic pressure switch (usually near the top) and its thin rubber hose going to the bottom of the tub. Ensure the hose is not kinked, split, or blocked with soap residue. Blow gently through the hose (disconnected) to clear blockages.
• Reassemble and test: Refit all parts, restore water and power, and run a rinse cycle to confirm normal filling.
