Step-by-step checks:

• Clean the pump filter: Open the lower front service flap. Place a tray under the filter cap. Slowly unscrew the filter to let water drain. Remove coins, lint, buttons, and other debris. Check that the pump impeller behind the filter turns freely.
• Inspect the drain hose: Pull the washer forward and check the rear drain hose for kinks or crushing. Detach it from the standpipe or sink trap and flush it through with water to clear blockages.
• Check the pump for damage: With power still off, reach into the pump housing and feel for broken fins or foreign objects. If the impeller is loose on the shaft or jammed, the pump may need replacement.
• Electrical test: Access the pump from the rear or bottom (depending on CDA model). Disconnect the wiring plug and measure coil resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed pump motor.
• Replace the pump if necessary: Remove mounting screws, transfer the hoses and wiring to the new CDA-compatible drain pump, ensuring hose clamps are tight to prevent leaks.
• Run a drain/spin test: After reassembly, run a drain or spin-only program to confirm that water is expelled quickly and E03 no longer appears.
