- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable between the UI and main PCB is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- Dry and clean: If moisture is present, dry the area thoroughly and clean light corrosion with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Test operation: Reconnect temporarily (with panels safely positioned) and power on to see if buttons respond. If E14 persists and some keys do not work, the UI board is likely faulty.
- Replace UI board if needed: Transfer the knob and fascia to the new CDA-compatible control panel PCB, reconnect the ribbon, and reassemble.
