Possible Causes
Incorrectly connected hot and cold hoses, Faulty hot or cold inlet valve coil, Blocked inlet filter on one valve, PCB valve driver fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off water supply and unplug the washer before disconnecting hoses.
Step-by-step checks:
- Verify hose connections: Ensure the hot and cold hoses (if present) are connected to the correct taps and machine inlets as marked on the rear panel.
- Clean individual filters: Remove and clean the mesh filters from each inlet port. Debris in one side can trigger E17.
- Test valve coils: Access the inlet valve assembly and measure resistance of each solenoid. Replace the valve if one coil is open or significantly different from the other.
- Check wiring and PCB: Inspect the harness from the valve to the control board. If coils and wiring are good but E17 persists, the PCB output may be faulty and require professional attention.
