Possible Causes

Frequent low-temperature washes, Excess detergent use, Standing water in door seal folds, Blocked drain or vent hoses

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use only washing-machine-safe cleaners. Do not mix bleach with other chemicals.

Step-by-step cleaning:

  • Clean door seal: Wipe the seal folds with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution or dedicated washing machine cleaner. Remove lint and residue.
  • Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cycle with a descaling/cleaning product designed for washing machines.
  • Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away mould and residue. Clean the housing as well.
  • Improve habits: Leave the door and drawer slightly open between washes to allow drying. Use the correct amount of detergent and include an occasional hot wash.
