Possible Causes

Clogged inlet filter screens, Faulty water inlet valve, Low household water pressure, Kinked or pinched inlet hose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the washer and turn off both hot and cold water supply valves before inspecting hoses or valves.

  • Check household water supply: Make sure both faucets feeding the Comfee washer are fully open and that other taps in the home have normal pressure.
  • Inspect inlet hoses: Pull the washer slightly forward, verify that the hot and cold hoses are not kinked or crushed. Straighten any bends.
  • Clean inlet filters: Turn off water, unscrew the hoses from the back of the washer. Inside the water inlet valve ports you will see small mesh filters. Gently pull them out with needle-nose pliers, rinse under running water, and reinstall.
  • Test fill: Reconnect hoses, turn water back on, plug in the washer, and run a quick wash. If E1 returns quickly, the water inlet valve solenoid may be faulty.
  • Advanced check (for experienced DIYers only): With power disconnected, access the top or rear panel to reach the water inlet valve assembly. Inspect wiring harness connections for corrosion or loose plugs. If the valve coil is open (no continuity) when tested with a multimeter, replace the valve assembly.
