Possible Causes
Open motor winding, Faulty motor capacitor (top-load), Loose motor harness, Failed motor driver on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing the motor or control board.
- Visual inspection: Remove the rear or bottom panel to access the motor. Check for burnt smell, discoloration, or melted insulation.
- Check harness: Ensure the motor connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
- Test windings: Use a multimeter to measure resistance of motor windings according to Comfee specs. Replace the motor if windings are open or shorted.
- Capacitor (if equipped): On some Comfee top-load models, test the motor start capacitor. Replace if it is bulged or tests out of spec.
- PCB diagnosis: If motor and capacitor are good, the motor driver circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
