Possible Causes
Failed heating element, Faulty NTC temperature sensor, Loose heater wiring, Defective main control board heater relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the washer before accessing internal components. Heating circuits can present shock risk.
- Confirm symptom: Run a hot wash cycle and check if the door glass or tub becomes warm after 15–20 minutes. If not, heating is likely not working.
- Access heater: On many Comfee front-load models, the heater is mounted at the bottom rear of the tub and accessible from the rear panel. Remove the rear cover to expose the heater terminals.
- Inspect wiring: Check for loose connectors, burnt terminals, or damaged wires at the heater and NTC sensor.
- Test heater element: With a multimeter, measure resistance across the heater terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
- Test NTC sensor: Measure resistance of the temperature sensor; compare to service manual values at room temperature. If readings are far off spec, replace the sensor.
- Control board: If heater and sensor test good but E6 persists, the main PCB heater relay or triac may be defective and the board may need replacement by a qualified technician.
