Frequent cold washes, Detergent residue on gasket and drum, Clogged drain trap retaining dirty water, Poor ventilation after use
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Wear gloves and ensure good ventilation when using cleaning chemicals.
- Clean gasket: Pull back the door gasket folds and wipe thoroughly with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution or washer cleaner. Remove lint and debris.
- Run cleaning cycle: Use a commercial washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar and run the hottest, longest cycle with the drum empty.
- Clean pump filter: Remove and clean the drain pump filter to eliminate trapped lint and stagnant water.
- Dry after use: Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between washes to allow the interior to dry and prevent mold growth.
